From Belize City airport (BZE), you can take an economical bus ride to get you to River House Lodge:

Take a taxi from BZE to the bus station (~US$20) and get on a bus to the capital city of Belmopan, which is known as the "smallest capital city in the world."  Change buses in Belmopan and head toward Dangriga, Hopkins Village or Placencia.  River House Lodge is 5.7 miles down the road from the Sittee River bus stop on the Southern Highway (you can also arrange to be picked up).  The bus journey takes about 8 hours and will cost you about US$20 per person plus the initial taxi fare.

The buses are the most economical way to travel, and they are clean and comfortable but they also do not always run on schedule.
